René Tromborg is a Danish painter and a prominent figure in contemporary geometric abstraction. His works combine the clarity of the Bauhaus with the energy of street art, thereby creating a dynamic dialogue between architectural precision and emotional expression. Inspired by early influences from graffiti and Pop Art, Tromborg has developed a unique visual language in which strict geometry meets vibrant rhythms of colour.

His compositions resemble visual scores, in which every line and surface is guided by an inner pulse – structured yet fluid. As a former music producer in Brooklyn, his sense of rhythm and layering flows into his paintings, which unfold with an almost audible intensity. The result is works that are both analytical and sensual, harmonising rational composition with intuitive warmth.

Tromborg’s paintings combine digital and analogue sensuality, as well as urban movement with meditative stillness. They represent precise, captivating contributions to a new European abstract movement, whilst remaining accessible entry points for emerging collectors.
